Fellow Earthlings - Made it in to see REM on Sunday nite. Was in the upper circle of the theatre from where you can see the beginnings of bald patches on performers like Nick Cave (don't shoot the messenger) but REM's collective hair (Stipe doesn't have much .. on his head anyway) still looks intact. I find occasions like this poignant now - I first saw REM go down like a lead ballon supporting U2 circa 'Fables' a full 21 years ago when I'd just turned 17.
