The Cash Cow
By Nessy - Posted on June 21st, 2007
Having booked flights and accommodation (especially accommodation), it will have become apparent that Dublin is particularly demanding on the cash reserves.
As a rough guide, currency conversion is:
1 pound sterling =
1.5 euro
2 US dollars
I always find figures like this pretty arbitrary, unless you can make a like-for-like comparison. So today's NI price for universal items:
500ml bottle Coke = 92p
Starbucks black coffee = £ 1.35
Big Mac (just the sandwich, not the meal) = £2.19

Hey Nessy,
We heard Dublin is quite expensive?
This could mean higher prices than you quote for NI.
Do you know what the above items are priced there?
@nton & Janet
Oh, and Ireland/Dublin we use euro's, right?
yeah anton we use euro's here,bring it on the event of the year!!
