Yes we did, more than once, for example at Werchter 1999, a huge thunderstorm started just before REM came on stage, before the end of the show everybody was knee-high in the mud.
REM gave us a superb performance, deeply embedded in our memory!

If you can find a patch of mud within 2 miles of the olympia I would be shocked - although shades and sunscreen in the theater may be a little over the top :)
Does Olympia Theatre's security requisites umbrellas (I mean the little ones)?
Do you think that security will check into marsupia also? (non for umbrellas ;-) )
Most security guards in Ireland seem to have double standard with regards to Umbrellas. If you are male they normally take it from you but if you are female you should be grand.
Jesus Christ i was hoping that Dublin would be a little nicer than Glasgow but just in case i bought a rain jacket yesterday which is foldable and can be easily removed and stored in bag on entering the venue - iv been soaked at waaaay to many festivals to not come prepared and if there is gonna be long quoing involved im not getting soaked - and sod umbrellas in a qou they are annoyng to one and all.
Oh well - good purchus then - never mind - the weather is always the same in the pub
