WHAT A NIGHT!!!!

SO! just in from the concert tonight, the last in the set of 5 concerts in the Olympia, and lads, can I just say - WHAT A SHOW (even tho it wasn't a show, but c'mon, it was flippin class!).

It's one of those gigs, where you come home and want to listen to the album, which in this case doesn't work cos it is all new stuff, but the new stuff is brilliant. It really is going back to their roots... Mister Stipe was on form - amazing, Mike Mills was really brilliant, and Peter Buck, well, I'm a big fan and he didn't let me down.

The played old stuff, really old stuff, fantastic... pretty persuasion, welcome to the occupation, west of the fields, gardening at night, the BEST ever worst joke ever heard, and erm, one more..... coyahoga, yes, that was the other one... yes indeed, fantastic. Each and every song was superbly introduced by Michael Stipe. The new stuff is fantastic - especially i loved the second last song (cannot remember what it was called?), but it has all the good lyric, guitar and mike mills harmonies that we know and love. fantastic, superb, amazing and insrpiring stuff.

Ladies, one more thing... is he or is he not possibly one of the sexiest and most charismatic men around?? ah yes, Michael Stipe... you rock.

Best night ever.... I reckon I'm going to be on a high for a while... till the next gig / album release anyway.
