Hoggers!!

I was at the 'This is not a show' last night and it was fab! Queued for 2 hrs in the not so fab weather and got 2 seated tickets(crappy seats with a pole in the way!! Mad to think I was sooo much closer at Ardgillan castle with over 20000 people there!), missed out getting the tickets when they first came out the tickets were sold out before I even got the email from Sandbag!! I was sooo delighted when I heard extra tickets were going on sale. I was then checking out ebay and dreading the thought of having to give in to the ticket touts, they really annoy me. As do the people who buy tickets for all 5 nights and dont give other fans a chance to see such a unique event. Yea I get that theyre big fans, but come on give everyone a chance. Only 1500 a night and I know a load of people who wouldve loved tickets but couldnt get them!

Met loadsa really nice people up in the bar. And also met 2 lovely Cork people out the back at the stage door afters! Did anyone see REM coming out of the Olympia afters??

The support act was really good but maybe a bit too chilled out music for a warm up act.

Then REM came on and were great. Loved the new music, cant wait for the new album to come out. It was also great to hear some older songs as well and to see how different they were with the old songs.

All in all a great night. :)

peter came out through the stage door after about 1 hour and a half, let us take a photo and gave some autographs, and then hurried into a taxi. scott was outside on the other side, where they have this fence, and gave autographs, too. i din't see mike, but michael came a bit later hurrying through the same door as scott, but accompanied by some guards, we could only shout "good night, michael", before he disappeard through the small street directly into the clarence hotel...

Thats a shame!! Myself and my friend waited til 12 o clock outside the stage door and then we had to go to catch the Luas!!! oh well!! :(
Did you get a good pic?

Hi all,

went to the 1st show on Saturday night, had a blast and then went for a few pints afterwards. My wife was driving and we went by the Clarence Hotel on the way home. I could have sworn that I saw Michael outside the Clarence having a cigarette at around 2am - I might be wrong though. If it was Michael, there were loads of people in the vicinity but nobody was annoying him!

Cheers

from peter, yes; from michael, no.

I all but gave up on tickets, after missing the sellout, and refusing eBay extortionists. However, walked in to Box Office yesterday, and got two standing tickets that were just returned by a fan!

A big thanks to whoever did this, I guess my past history of returning tickets at face value paid off karma-wise!
