what a week...what a band = thanks you rem and all involved

ok am back from the final night of the rehearsals at the olympia. was very privelaged to be at all five nights and a really huge thank you to rem for this. they are in my opinion the best band in the world and they treated us fans to an amazing few nights where we got to see an rem we dont normaly get to see in a brilliant little venue. i live in dubin and have seen many many bands there over the years but after this week i find it hard to even remember who they were!! i'm sure it will come back to me when reality hits again.
for the past five days ive been trekking to the olympia to q up to get a wristband - in the sun and the rain - and i must say some of the best laughs were had in the q itself! it nice to talk to people on the same level as you when it comes to liking/loving rem. a lot of my friends just don't understand sometimes.
i am no good at reviewing and no journalist - im a scientist so english was never my good subjects give me maths any day! but i will say this past week has been one of the highlights of my life. may sound a bit over the top but to be such a music fan and of course rem in particular and to see them perfom new material and material some of which i have persoanlly never heard live before was fantastic. about half way through the week i just felt like i was sitting in the recording studio witnessing something very very special. micheal told some interesting stories about old songs they played and the new stuff sounds damn good. so thank you to rem for letting us in...and to be part of the bext experiment - it must have been hard work for you to get up there night after night and play old and new songs. i know it wasnt a show but still an audience must add some pressure....
sorry im rambling and i really cant explain want this last week has been like....i cannot wait for the new album and when i hear it i hope to be transported back to the olympia...

As a programmer, my grasp of english is far inferior to my grasp of maths, but I have to second every word you say. It was an absolute pleasure to be watching a band 'rehearse' and to work so hard at it. And the fact that it was the biggest band in the world, in a tiny venue, and that it was by favourite band in the world, in my home town - it was overwhelming. Looking forward to the new album more than ever..
