Wristbands? No queue for Fanclub members?

hello,
can't wait for tuesday night!!

somewhere i read about wristbands, that you have to be there at the venue early enough to get them. so, are there wristbands for the first or not? does anybody know?

and what about being a fanclubber - somewhere i read that fanclub members can bypass the main queue at the entrance?!

thanks

The first night they had 80 wristbands for the section in the very front of the stage. As far as I know these went to the first 80 people who got to the front. I don't think fanclub members could bypass any queue - just about everyone I spoke to was a fanclub member anyway!

You are that close to the stage, even at the back, you really dont need Wristbands.
Just go and enjoy yourself.

we starting lining up at 4 and were seating next to people who showed up at 7...

don't need to worry, just enjoy dublin (great city) and get there late afternoon!

ps, saturday afternoon they sold 200 EXTRA tickets

Hang on - are you saying that, despite there being tickets for seats, there is a standing area at the front that ticketholders of any sort can access if they queue early for a wristband?

Wristbands are given out at the front of the stage, and to get there you need a General Admission ticket (ie. Non-seated).

Then let me ask - would anyone like to rest their feet upstairs while I stand up all night below on July 5 (ie. swap)? ;)

No only those with general admission tickets and the door staff check the queue every 5-10 minutes to ensure everybody is in the correct queue.

Yup, the wristbands are for those who are first in line and are usually given out at the front of the stage once doors open. There is no bypassing of queues or special treatment for fanclub members. Not that I know of anyway.

You really don't need to bother. We started queuing around 7 in the evening and got great standing places. You don't want to get too close to the stage anyway as it's very high. It's a small venue. Even if you were at the back you were fine, although I hear that the sound is not so good there. My son was up in the circle and got great pics form there.

I say relax and sight see or enjoy a pint or two instead. Everyone we talked to was a fan anyway.
